While observing comet C\/2007 N3 (Lulin) Friday morning<\/a>, I shot some photos of what I thought was a beautiful sight. Although moonlight is bad for deep sky observing, it does illuminate the landscape and makes for interesting night scenes. I usually observe at Cinder Hills Overlook when I drive out to Sunset Crater National Monument. However, I was running late and didn’t want to take the extra 10 minutes or so to drive the rest of the way through the monument. So I stopped at a scenic view parking area and set up there.<\/p>\n
