Watering Holes

So besides not posting anything here, what have we been up to...

Well it's been raining and snowing almost non-stop. A nickle & dime rain & snow, but that's been enough to fill up the reservoirs south of town, as well as Mormon Lake. They've been sickly swamps and mud-bogs for years. We went for a drive last weekend to check them out:

On the way home, more snow started to fall and the kids ran straight from the car to the front yard for snowman building.

Oh! Remember my namesake from last year whose name got published in the stockade section of the newspaper? Well he started working at Gore a few months ago. Gradually, we've started getting each other's emails and getting invited to the wrong meetings. Turns out he's a real character. Good! This is to be encouraged.I haven't met him in person yet, but each day brings a new round of griping about some misdelivered message or other. He is jealous (sick & tired) of how popular I am :'(

It's time for taxes y'all. How much will we owe? There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth, that much is fer sure.

Wow, I don't think that Mary-to-Mary spillover thing has happened in 10 years. That's great. I know the drought has been really tough on the area.

To any locals, I suggest fishing in Lake Mary when the weather gets better. The last time this happened, the trout got big and juicy eating all the worms and grubs and bugs that lived in what used to be muddy banks. Good eatin'!

Wow man, those are some unbelievable photographs. Seriously.

So, anyway, more stories about poop please.
